Spring 2008 Group Fitness Class Schedule
All classes are held afternoons in the Gosman Aerobics Room (located on the bottom level) and are open to the entire Brandeis community. No advance sign-up is necessary. Just drop in!
Mondays
- 5:30-6:30 Kickboxing (Beth)
- 6:35-7:35 Yogilates (Kelly)
Tuesdays
- 5:30-6:30 Cardio Circuit (Hilda)
- 6:35-7:05 Relaxation (Jill)
Wednesdays
- 12:15-1:00 Cardio Express (Raquel)
- 5:30-6:30 Energizer (Jill)
Thursdays
- 5:30-6:30 Funk (Kelly)
- 6:35-7:35 Total Body Toning (Rebecca)
Fridays
- 5:30-6:30 Kickboxing (Hilda)
- 6:35-7:35 Total Body Toning (Hilda)
Saturdays
- 12:00 pm-1:00 pm: Guts, Butts & Thighs (Kelly/Hilda)
Sundays
- 5:30-6:30 Step (Julaine)

Class Descriptions
Total Body Toning/BodySculpting
Attack EVERY muscle in your body with this intense muscle training workout. Innovative use of weights, balls, and your own body weight are guaranteed to create the definition and muscle strength you desire.
Kickboxing
Burn fat and have fun with this kick-butt, high-energy class that incorporates martial arts and boxing to create an intense cardio workout that will make you sweat like you've never sweat before. (high intensity, medium difficulty of movement)
Cardio Boot Camp
This high-intensity lunchtime workout is a combination of strength and cardio exercises that is sure to boost your energy and increase your endurance while building muscles and burning maximum calories!
Yogilates
Melt all your troubles away! This workout is designed to create the long and lean muscles that weightlifting and other more vigorous workouts fail to do. Don't be fooled! This combination of yoga and pilates is still equally intense, and will not only give you peace of mind, but will also increase strength and flexibility.
Step Aerobics
This low-impact cardio class uses an elevated surface to give your body an extra push. The choreography is easy to learn and the workout can be challenging for all fitness levels.
Guts, Butts, & Thighs
This muscular endurance class will challenge you to feel the burn and help you to develop long, lean muscles. Great for all levels!
Funk
Work up a sweat while you get your boogie on! This class incorporates aerobic dance moves from hip hop, jazz, belly dancing, and more!
Powerhour
This class combines step aerobics and kickboxing for one amazing workout!
Ab Blast
Challenge your core to 30 minutes of gut-busting exercises that will strengthen your stomach, define your abs, and balance your body.
Cardio Express
A fast-paced and challenging mix of cardiovascular and strength training intervals, including (but not limited to) rope jumping and exercise with dumbbells, medicine balls, and the stability balls.
Step & Sculpt
This high energy class combines the cardiovascular benefits of a step class with the toning benefits of a sculpting class and keeps your body guessing by switching between the two to continue noticing gains in strength and endurance.
The Energizer
Wake up your body and experience the spunk with moves from cardio kickboxing, dance, and sculpt workouts.
Relaxation
Ease into your afternoon with 30 minutes of soothing stretches, breathing exercises, and peaceful meditation.
