i found this section on the website once that let me know how much i've downloaded through the internet, as in like files and stuff in e-mails. (i'm pretty sure it was the same place that showed if people were in the top 100). I cannot, however, find that place again. Can someone give me the link? thanks!

That data moved not SO long ago to http://netmon.unet.brandeis.edu/detail.php
Total usage (everyone) is shown in grey, your machine's usage is shown in blue.
