Club Description
The Astronomy club is an educational and community based service club, which will use Brandeis's 24" refracting telescope in the observatory and several smaller personal meade telescopes. Objects studied will include those studied by NASA, SETI, and other universities; will watch movies like NOVA specials, documentaries, and Hollywood films; brng in speakers, and organize trips to local schools, museums, and otther relevant facilities.
This is a chartered club. That means that it can use University resources and can request funding from the Finance Board.
