Club Description

The bridge club is designed to spread the joy and advance the game of bridge to the Brandeis community. It is a game that can be enjoyed by anyone at all levels and it is a lifelong hobby. Bridge is a trick-taking card game played in the same manner as hearts, spades, or euchre where the play goes clockwise and everyone must follow to the suit led and the highest card wins that round of 4 cards (called a trick). The game is complicated and is hard to master. Here at Brandeis people are at many different levels in their skill of the game. The bridge club has split up its members initially into a beginner group for people who want to learn the game and an intermediate group for people with already at least a basic knowledge of how the game is played.

This is a chartered club. That means that it can use University resources and can request funding from the Finance Board.
