Club Description

The purpose of this club is mainly to provide Brandeis students with information, experience, and access to a way of eating consciously. In consciously we mean using one’s brain as well as taste buds in deciding what to eat and considering the ethical, environmental, nutritional, cultural implications of the food we decide to consume. In this way we offer the college campus a way of staying healthy and happy while on campus and perhaps even a way of staying healthy and happy for life. This club will fulfill said purpose through holding vegan events on campus to inform and educate about the vegan way of life. Events include but are not limited to: hosting speakers to talk about living and cooking vegan, holding food sampling events for non vegans, and having cooking classes to teach about vegan substitutions or naturally vegan foods. We also plan on having a collection of vegan cooking and living books available to the community and perhaps the culmination with a creation of our own vegan cooking book.

This is a chartered club. That means that it can use University resources and can request funding from the Finance Board.
