Club Description
a. The purpose of the Film Club is to unite film lovers and admirers on campus. The club’s goal is to increase awareness of theoretical and aesthetic aspects of film. By exposing students to the world of film through philosophical, psychological, and conceptual perspectives, the club hopes to increase awareness of the complexities and histories of the classics. With that ultimate goal in mind, the club will organize screenings and discussions about said films, their directors, and histories.
b. The Club intends to achieve its purpose through such events as film festivals, screenings, discussions, and distribution of educational material.
This is a chartered club. That means that it can use University resources and can request funding from the Finance Board.
