The Hillel First Year Council aims to empower new students to play an active role in building a welcoming Jewish community on campus. It strives to help new students acclimate to Jewish life in college, regardless of prior background, engagement, or involvement. First year students, under the leadership of the Hillel Board First Year Representatives plan and promote their own events to successfully engage other first year students in Jewish life on campus. Programming provides exciting and meaningful opportunities for all interested students. It typically includes mentorship, social events, and community service events. This helps ensure the future of Hillel at Brandeis by developing young leaders.
This is a chartered club. That means that it can use University resources and can request funding from the Finance Board.
