Club Description
The objective of the Brandeis Hellenic Society is to draw together those who are interested in Greece, to cultivate interest in Greek culture, language, history, and contemporary affairs through its activities and to provide information and support to its members. We would like to explore other various facets of the Hellenic cultural tradition: dance, music, art, cuisine, and way of life. The club would promote these aspects through members’ personal experiences, media, and guest speakers/professors who are experts in this field. The Hellenic Society will also collaborate with other local Hellenic Clubs from schools such as Boston College, Boston University, Harvard University, Northeastern University, Suffolk University, and Tufts University. The Hellenic Society is an organization devoted to the promotion of Greek culture and diversity within the University and the community at large. We are committed to helping international and minority students adjust to life at the University, as well as educating others about the contributions of Hellenic figures in past, present, and future.
Join and learn how to Greek Dance! We have performed in Culture X and plan to perform many more times!
This is a recognized club. That means that it can use University resources but cannot request funding from the Finance Board.
