Brandeis-created software wins awards in the 2007 Application Bake-Off competition sponsored by the national Cisco IP Telecommunications User Group (CIPTUG). The Brandeis Wake Up Call software beat several commercial programs to win the Best Education Application '07 Award and the Best End-User Developed Innovation Award. The Brandeis Wake Up Call software, written by Brandeis students and provided by Library and Technology Services, allows Brandeis campus phones to provide wake-up calls and other alarms for Brandeis community members. The CIPTUG 2007 Application Bake-Off is an application development competition held to encourage the development of innovative software for Cisco phone systems.
