Released on March 10, 2008
Contact: Sarah Shoemaker, sshoemak@brandeis.edu, 781-736-4641
The new exhibit at the Robert D. Farber University Archives & Special Collections is a fascinating visual tour of the creative arts and arts luminaries at Brandeis. This exhibit highlights notable aspects of Brandeis’s early music and theater programs; it also showcases the personal collections of important figures in theater, film, and musical composition. Brandeis has had a commitment to the creative arts since its early days, attracting leading creative and performing artists such as Leonard Bernstein, Joan Crawford, and Sophie Tucker.
Come to the exhibit for a glimpse of the artistic impresarios associated with Brandeis … and for a close look at Oscar.

The exhibit is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Robert D. Farber University Archives & Special Collections on Goldfarb Level 2 of the Main Library.
