Exhibit on Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War

Please join us for the opening reception of our latest exhibit, "Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War: A Commemorative Exhibition." On display until the end of June 2009, the exhibit marks the bicentennial of Lincoln's birth and features the collection of Brian D. Caplan '82, an avid collector of Lincolniana and Civil War materials. In addition to many archival photographs, the exhibit includes historic documents (such as a handwritten note by Lincoln), ephemera, and artifacts. The opening reception will take place the evening of Feb. 10th (5-9pm) in the Rapaporte Treasure Hall, and will include a short panel presentation by three American History graduate students at Brandeis. Refreshments will be served.
