LTS has disabled the Appletalk protocol on the campus-wide network in response to requests from Brandeis technology coordinators and systems administrators. Appletalk, an obsolete and inefficient network protocol used by older Macintosh computers, is still available for use as needed within local network subnets but campus-wide Appletalk network zones is no longer be visible to Macintosh users. LTS continues to work closely with campus technology coordinators to ensure a seamless transition.
