Well-known dissident sketches 'vision' for U.S. action
Kanan Makiya, a professor of Middle Eastern studies at Brandeis, says the United States should communicate a clear plan to opposition groups in Iraq and consider both military and political issues before taking action against Saddam Hussein. His comments appeared in at least 19 newspapers around the country (as of 7/31), from North Dakota to Kentucky, to Florida, South Dakota and Pennsylvania.
