Hardware layout

• PowerPC processor
• All peripherals are either USB or FireWire
• In general, USB or FireWire devices for PC also work on Macs
• Desktops have PCI and (sometimes) AGP slots
• PowerBooks, but not iBooks, have PCMCIA slots
• Most current Mac models come with Bluetooth and 802.11 built in, all have it as an option
